It was good so I ordered it for the second time this week! Veal and bolognese 3 5 Rosé 5 5 Scallopini 4 5 The veal scallopini is is $24 with the pasta is $26. Although it doesn't look appetizing but it was delicious, just not worth the price. The bolognese pasta was too salty both times but this time it was better (last time it was too gamey ! I suggest adding chili flakes if you have any at home; its exactly what it needed. The Rosé pasta was delicious as always such light creamy flavour. The scallopini sandwich is honestly the best sandwich it has the right amount of flavours! It lost points because it's suppose to be made with roasted red peppers but both times they replaced it with sauté...
This Italian café is simply fantastic and is located right in the heart of Montreal's garment district. It has been a staple for longer than I’ve been alive, offering some of the tastiest dishes, the finest coffee, and refreshing iced tea, all served with prompt and courteous service. The atmosphere during lunch has a genuine New York deli vibe, whether you’re stopping in to grab a quick sandwich between meetings or relaxing and playing pool on the outdoor terrace. It truly is the center of the garment industry on Chabanel. If you work in the fashion trade, you know Gentile and you absolutely love it. It’s a true institution!
The sandwiches were good but for the first time coming into the restaurant, the service was not great. I made a lunchtime take out order, and the cashier was rushed and not particularly nice (got a bit annoyed when we sat at the counter but didn't tell us where to wait someone else eventually told us to wait outside). Ended up waiting half an hour for 2 sandwiches, while 10 12 people who ordered take out after us got served first I suspect they forgot the order until we asked. I think I'll stick to the places where the sandwiches AND service are good
Caffè Gentile brings a touch of Sicily to Montreal, featuring the best cannoli and biscotti in the city! Every visit is such a delight! Their latte is also outstanding—definitely among the best I've ever had. Just a heads up: the location on du Parc is not wheelchair accessible due to about six steps, but they do have outdoor seating, and the staff will come to serve you. I highly recommend coming on a sunny day to enjoy some well-deserved "me time"!
We came into town on a trip and our Airbnb host recommended this place. We went twice for breakfast and it was truly amazing! The orange juice was fresher than all of the other restaurants we've been to and the meals were fulfilling and tasty! Though the interior isn't my favorite, it's what makes the place stand out (to be honest it kind of feels homey).
I just visited this restaurant and ordered the chicken cutlet. Wow, it was fantastic! They also serve the best coffee in Montreal. Big shoutout to Debbie for recommending this place—she definitely deserves a five-star rating! Please thank her for me. She was absolutely right; the food was amazing. Thanks for satisfying this hungry trucker!
I was really craving a steak sandwich of some kind. Came across this place on uber eats. THIS SANDWICH ROCKED NY WORLD! Seriously sooooo delicious! Best sandwich I can remember ever having and the arugula salad was a perfect side. Definitely will be eaten there again soon.
