Definitely DO NOT recommend ordering for pick up. I ended up standing there waiting for my order for an HOUR. They only focused on the in store line which I understand but my order was supposed to be ready at 6:30 and people that had walked in and got inline at 7:00 still ended up getting their food made before me. I asked a couple times if my food was almost ready and they justsaid almost and that they were understaffed. I completely understand that but people who got there after even for mobile pick upas well got helped before me and even when there were multiple times when there was no one left in line I still didn?t receivemy food. While ordering my husband had a hard time hearing what the server was saying. After he asked if she could please repeat what she said he was told that he would have to pay more attention. Then at the register he was told the card wouldn?t go thru unlessthere was a tip included. This twerp behind the counter needs to check herself. This is a close community and word gets aroundon how customers are treated. Way too many better places to eat like Chipotle?s. Oh, and the order was wrong on top of the rudeservice.
Amazing food...it's always fresh and delicious and they have the best staff! Dennis is a great manager and him and his team are efficient and they are all so kind! We go to multiple cafe rios weekly in the area and this one in Aliso Viejo is by far the BEST one! We'll even drive 20/25 minutes away to specifically go to this one in AV rather than one that's closer to us!
We come here at least once a week cause my oldest son likes the food. As vegetarians, we go with the salad. Compared a few other Cafe Rios we've been to, the food here has been the most consistent. I recommend the salad with black beans, rice, cheese on tortilla, and everything on it.

Fantastic team! They are friendly and quick, and they provide fresh vegetarian options. The blonde woman with glasses was particularly helpful, and the cashier was very nice. Thank you! I hope you consider adding some vegan choices!
