The Cafeteria is modern and clean. The food is reasonably priced for the higher food quality compared to many large museums cafes in North America that usually serves average burgers, cold sandwiches, salad, etc. The hot menu includes selection of quiche, premium sandwiches, burgers, hot...dog and pizza. Food was ordered at the counter and made to order. The quiche and Pizza was tasty. There are other food items that could be picked up from the refrigerated case and assortment of beverage options. There is a beautiful view of Parliament Hill and surrounding area from glass rotunda. The ambiance is very enjoyable. There is also outdoor patio seating. Museum members gets discount on food accord...

The National Gallery of Canada is a renowned art gallery but unfortunately, its catering facilities are subpar. In comparison, other famous galleries like the National Gallery in London, Pompadour Centre in Paris, and AGO in Toronto offer upscale dining options. It's disappointing that the National Gallery of Canada only offers tapas or cafeteria-style meals. The lack of an espresso machine and the unappetizing brown slurry served from plastic containers is shocking. The cafeteria could greatly benefit from a makeover, perhaps under the direction of someone like the owner of Beckta, to create a more elevated dining experience. The cafeteria's current state feels uninspiring, but with some im...

The Cafétéria des Beaux-Arts is the cafeteria at the National Gallery. It is partly self-service (e.g. prepared sandwichs, salad bar, etc with a made-to-order counter offering three specials. We have had sandwiches, soup and salad. It is usually OK, but remember that it is essentially...a cafeteria. Its best feature is its location: a glass rotunda, with access to a private patio and a view of Nepean Point, the Ottawa River and Parliament Hill.

We decided to have lunch on the premises of the National Gallery of Canada in their cafeteria. This self-service facility offers hamburgers, hot dogs and various hot and cold sandwiches and desserts. The price is quite good (not as over-priced as some cafeterias can be in such places) and the food was good. There is a lot of seating which overlooks the outdoors.

After having visited the special exhibit of art by Alex Janvier, we went to the Cafeteria des Beaux Arts to have some lunch. The selection of sandwiches, burgers and wraps was ordinary but the food was good. The main attraction here is the wonderful view...of the parliament buildings and Nepean Point with its statue of Samuel de Champlain.

Coffee has reasonable price, cold beverages, too, Service-excellent. In a hot day, with two children and tired of visiting only some new parts of the NGC, sitting in tall and comfy chairs and having a lite drink with the view towards the Parliament-an extraodinarily...pleasant experience. It was our first time.
