We had high hopes for this restaurant as we looked at the menu and saw the other reviews. We are vegetarian, so maybe the food wasn't really made for us, but we found the flavors to be lackluster. The initial bread basket was cold (not warm bread). The pizza had a nice thin crust but the cheese and flavors didn't seem good. I kept tasting something different in there that I felt was ruining the flavor ... Something like cheddar cheese type of taste. The service was wonderful though. The staff was really nice. For the price we paid, the meal was not worth it. Maybe non-vegetarians might have a different experience.
I recently visited a charming Italian restaurant in Forest Park that my wife picked out, and I'm so glad she did. The quality of the food and the ambiance were both fantastic. We started with the Crab Cakes as an appetizer, and for my main course, I had the Steak Panini and a refreshing Tropical Coconut Cocktail. My wife ordered the Rigatoni, which she thoroughly enjoyed and found to be flavorful and just the right portion size for lunch. Overall, I highly recommend this spot for a great dining experience.
The service at this restaurant was excellent, but a bit too attentive. The food was decent, but nothing extraordinary. The menu was limited and the portion sizes were small, with high prices. I have been to many other Italian restaurants and this one didn't stand out. Personally, I would prefer going to Jimmy'splace just a few doors down, where you can get a fantastic Italian meal with soup or salad, large portions, and affordable prices.
Beautiful small Italian place in the Forest Park. Quality food... good mood. My wife chose this place. We had the Crab Cakes for the appetizers. For the Entree I had the Steak Panini and the Tropical Coconut cocktail. My wife got the Rigatoni and she said it was really good and tasteful and perfect for a lunch. Well, you got it... here's up. Everything about Caffe De Luca is amazing. Highly suggest sitting on the roof, which is often closed for private parties, but the outdoor sidewalk seating is also great. The grilled calamari is one of the best appetizers I've ever had and even thoughthey only have GF crust advertised on one pizza, you can get any of them gluten free!
Loved this place and will be back! Affordable, in a great location, and delicious. Atmosphere is super trendy and cute. The service was great. We hadn't even noticed we were there a bit after close and never felt rushed or pressured to leave. FINALLY aplace that does a gnocchi in a creamy tomato sauce correct! ??
I've been here before! I love Italian food! And they do it right! And the upstairs is perfect for a surprise anniversary party! When the guests of honor get to the top of the stairs, they can't help but gasp in amazement! Unfortunately, a straggler blewthe whole surprise, but a good time was had by all!
