Nice corner café with a cozy atmosphere. They have a limited selection of pastries, including vegan doughnuts. There are plenty of coffee choices and smoothies on the menu as well. I ordered a cappuccino along with a vanilla chocolate chip muffin. Both were tasty, although the muffin crumbled a bit while I was eating it, which is quite common. I enjoyed sitting by the window, surrounded by rugs that were for sale. They also had shirts, coffee mugs, food items, and various knick-knacks for sale. I treated myself to a box of Turkish delight, all without the White Witch's interference. I visited this place in Portsmouth for a quick snack and coffee, and I’m so glad I did! The interior is unique and vibrant, featuring a lovely Turkish flair. The snacks and coffee were excellent, with plenty of options for Turkish treats. I highly recommend trying their Turkish breakfast sandwich, which consists of feta, green bell peppers, and tomato on bread—it was delicious! The staff were incredibly friendly and quick to assist customers. If you're in the area, I definitely suggest stopping by!
I often chose Caffe Kilim as a go-to spot pre-pandemic, and I'm happy to report that after a 2-year hiatus on my part, I returned to find the same great place today. The atmosphere is friendly, the coffee is excellent, and the selection of sweets is tasty. They even carry Lovebird's vegan donuts to enjoy. I recommend giving them your business if you're in the area :
Caffe Kilim is definitely one of the better cafes in Portsmouth. The Turkish coffee is delicious, and served in traditional Turkish coffee cups. If you haven?t had one and like strong coffee, this one is for you. Ask for it with some sugar, and ask to be shown how to drink it you don?t want to sip the grinds! Réservez une table maintenant
There's a fantastic atmosphere at this place! If you're a fan of espresso, definitely try their specialty: the authentic Turkish coffee prepared with sugar and twice cooked. You won't be disappointed—it's the real deal! And don’t forget to grab a package of Turkish delight to take home with you.
If I could give a place 6 stars, this would be it. I don’t think you’ll find better coffee in NH, period. There’s a good reason they’ve been in business for 30 years and counting. For a real treat, try the mocha frappe or the Turkish candy bar latte. I promise you won’t be disappointed!
I've lived here my whole life, and this place remains the best part of Portsmouth. I wouldn't get my coffee anywhere else. Dancing Goats just doesn't compare. Make sure to add a shot and try their golden one. A big thank you to Coffee Kilim for making Portsmouth a better place!
