the tee room was closed on the day we went (probably because of the flut), but the landscape around is amazing. there is a way that runs to the right and left of the rocky bridge. I saw walker and biker on the left up. public toilets on the parking lot. is worth the ride on this narrow road. this place is so dreamy, the whole street is wonderful, felt like in a movie set. the shades or orange tones are only exceptional, the feeling blessed that I could see it.
what a small jewel, sitting in a small hamlet, an oasis during a long hot walk. a pot tee, a cappuccino and a dose fizzy drink for £8. there are no seats in the interior, only a large outdoor area, but with a lot of coverage when it rains, or with bright sunshine. the personal was friendly. toilets of nt in parking.
Returned here after 8 years and glad to see the tearoom was still open. Took the car up this time and parked in the National Trust car park. Great remote location next to the tarn and the garden had chaffinches and robins hopping about. Had a great mug of tea and a lovely piece of ginger and sultana cake.
loves this little caffe by watendlath tarn. it was actually to close when we arrived there, but they still made the most delicious cup that was exactly what we needed for the walk back to rosthwaite.
