We visited this restaurant to celebrate our two-year anniversary, and it was an unforgettable experience. Our waitress, Margaret (Maggie), was fantastic and truly made our evening special! She has such a positive energy and clearly loves what she does. The food was amazing, and the restaurant had a lovely Valentine's Day decoration. As a sweet touch, they even surprised us with a cupcake to share. I would give this place a perfect 10/10! Plus, I really appreciated that the bakery is right next door, so we could easily walk over for dessert. Just a tip: if you take your dinner receipt to the bakery, you'll get a discount!
On the other hand, my initial experience was quite disappointing. I have celiac disease and ordered a gluten-free bolognese, assured that my meal would be prepared separately from gluten-containing items. However, I discovered regular pasta mixed into my dish. When I raised the issue, the staff only responded with, "I’m not sure how that got there." They checked for any gluten-free desserts but found none and didn’t offer any alternative solutions. Unfortunately, I became ill after my meal, and due to this experience, I cannot recommend dining here for those who need to avoid gluten.
This Italian bakery is absolutely fantastic, featuring a deli, a selection of Italian goods, and a restaurant. I've tried both their sandwiches and pastries, and I can confidently rate them a perfect 10! The custard cups, cannoli, fruit cups, carrot cake, and other delightful treats that I can’t easily pronounce are all exceptional. The bread is an excellent example of how wonderful bread can be in New Jersey. The place is well-managed by friendly staff.
Hi! This is our family’s favorite restaurant! Prior to having kids this was always our date night spot and now we bring them with us! Everything is perfect from the food to the ambience. Our go to apps are always the Flatbread Cucina, calamari and mozzarella Carozza! I am a huge chicken parm fan and this is by far my favorite! I always get vodka sauce instead and it’s delicious! I'm really disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The food was not to my liking, especially the pasta, which was overcooked. I've never encountered Italian pasta that wasn't al dente before. The bucatini was even broken, which is quite surprising for an Italian restaurant. The only positive aspect of my visit was the service from Maggie. Thank you, Maggie!
Great service, great product! I had a vision for my daughter's Super Mario bday, and they made it happen!!!! They really pay attention to details to ensure customer satisfaction. I will always absolutely recommend Calandra Bloomfield for their consistency and excellence. (I put the little figures on afterward) everything else on the cake is edible ?.Thanks again!
Calandras has amazing food, desserts, fresh pasta and more. I've never had a bad item from there! I love their cakes with whipped cream and strawberries. I often stop by to pick up fresh ravioli, mozzarella, of pastries and more! Great prices, friendly staff and delicious food.
Went here for a 60th birthday party and had the filet mignon: it was done perfectly. Delicious.The atmosphere is nice, clean and well designed. The wait staff was very helpful and friendly.I'm going back for the bakery side of the business. Réservez une table maintenant
