Pay attention, or you might miss it. This place looks like a home on the outside, but was converted into a restaurant inside. We were greeted when we walked in and were told we can sit anywhere we'd like. The place seems clean. Friendly waitress, but not too knowledgeable on some stuff. When asked a question about an item, she told me she didn't know that the cooks were the ones who made it. It would've been nice if she went back there and asked. Pupusas in Caldwell? And they were good? lol. Yes this place was very good. For a long time I've wanted to go, but time was always in the way. They are now open on Sundays! I showed up at like 9:36 they had just opened and the place got packed quick the restaurant is not very big). Once the lady came out to take the order we knew what we wanted so we place our food order with our drinks. Both the drinks and food came out at the same time which was a bit of a bummer as we ordered quite a bit of pupusas and we were sitting there with no drinks. This was my first time trying a pupusa. I have to say I'm a huge fan! There were so many options so we tried four different ones. I really love the chicharon one. Oddly enough, even the one with zucchini in it was pretty darn great! Their side of cole slaw was amazing as well! Very light yet flavorful. It wasn't mushy or heavy sauced and was a nice bite after the pupusas! We will definitely be returning!
We're thrilled to have discovered this hidden gem! We had the opportunity to chat with the owner, who shared that he and his wife are retiring. The pupusas were not only delicious but also reasonably priced. The restaurant offers plenty of seating for group gatherings and has ample parking available. I fell in love; This place was amazing, everything we tried you can tell was fresh and delicious. The customer service was great as well, and the inside was very comfortable. My sister and I will definitely be back, I love good and fresh pupusas and it's so hard to find them now a days. Thank you for the experience and we will definitely be back soon.
