Food is nothing to come back for especially for the really high price. Just another place over charging for corn chips, beans and chicken. Margaritas are $20 a pop and you get a small glass full of ice. 3 swigs and there goes another $20. Had the really expensive steak fajitas and the meat was not delicious. It was hard to chew and fell short of a good meal. The guacamole was good but how hard is that to mess up? You come here to impress a date but not for the food or the hit to the wallet. Flan was really good though. Would be surprised if they are here in 2 years. Not authentic, doesn't stand out. I don't need to go back ever again. Javier's offers better food at this price point.
I really enjoy coming to Calo after work for diner and drinks. This is also an excellent place to entertain my clients over lunch. Their list of tequilas is so extensive. The service Is top notch, every time. I love the salad here as well as the seafood enchiladas. If you’re into margaritas, you will enjoy the extensive list of flavors offered. Be warned the spicy Margarita is muddled in Serrano peppers. It’s incredibly spicy: the pineapple Margarita was a great second choice for a spicy marg. The appetizers are also so good. Salsa, bean dip are included, but the guacamole is an excellent addition
This was an amazing night out with family. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was amazing and the service was so friendly. I would highly recommend this place for a fun night out with friends. We had a variety of dishes to share. Highly recommend the shrimp and lobster enchilada (Clemente's enchilada). Their cocktails are super delicious too. Pineapple chilli cocktail was the great pick. My boyfriend and I go out to lunch at least four times a week. It was lunch time, we were in the area so we decided to try Calo. We were immediately impressed with the service. I ordered the halibut tacos, which were delicious. My BF ordered the chicken tostada, which was also delicious. We were seated on the patio, and it was just so beautiful and peaceful. Walked in for a 11:30 am reservation. There was a family of 4 waiting and a man walked in before me. The male hostess was excellent and took care of all 3 separate parties professionally and quickly as possible. Excellent customer service, Our server was excellent too. We wanted just the right amount of food to finish . We celebrate my friends bday and she gave her a delicious bday dessert . I will be back !
