Having afternoon tea at Camella’s Remember When Tea Parlor was a delightful experience and a highlight of a recent visit to Abingdon! (The negative reviewers obviously didn’t heed the rules. First, you MUST make a reservation. If you wait until the week you are in town, Camella’s will probably be booked. At this, my first visit to Camella’s, I learned the owner and hostess, Carrie is basically a one-woman show. This means she will limit the number of guests that she serves. I was part of a group that rented a room for a few hours, and it was a wonderful experience. We were offered two different teas to sample, and both were delicious. There were also some snacks and desserts, including scones, which were equally delightful. I'm not usually a tea drinker, but the tea here was exceptional, and the staff's service was outstanding. I highly recommend checking out this place if you're in the area.
The lavender tea is excellent, it was my first time trying it and I highly recommend stopping in and trying some! I can't wait to go back and have hot tea and sandwiches in the beautiful tea pots and cups. The lady that runs the place is so lovely, the kind of person that puts a smile on your face. She is the definition of southern hospitality, she was just so friendly and kind, I wish more people were like this.
I wanted an authentic tea experience for Mother’s Day. It was a quaint tea room. The music and the atmosphere were relaxing and enjoyable. The service was awesome and the teas were exquisite. The scones were delicious with the cream and jam. I would definitely go back for more experience. The only thing was it was a little pricey.

All The way from Pennsylvania to have tea with my friend Mary. The service was so personal! The proprietor even took the time to sit with us and have a cup of tea of her own. She shared the history of the home and the area. The food was beautifully presented and delicious I will definitely be back!!

This tea room has a truly unique vibe. There is a great selection of delicious teas to choose from, and the service is friendly and attentive. Overall, it’s a lovely place to return to again and again.
That was a wonderful experience. My sister and I took our mother to Mother's Day. It was a big and different mother/daughter outing. The food was good. And the tea is great!
