The window in our room would not close as the stay was broken, causing rain to come in over the dressing table. It was also cold and noisy due to people smoking, talking, and playing music under the window in the car park. Despite requesting a room change, we were initially told they would accommodate us, but after waiting for over half an hour with no response, we were informed that there was no room available for us and suggested to go elsewhere. Not very helpful at 10:30pm. We resorted to stuffing towels in the window to try and keep out the rain and cold. The Campanile has a fantastic team that is very welcoming. Louis provides exceptional customer service, always greeting you with a smile and making you feel at home. Jamie, the bartender, is a true gentleman who goes out of his way to make sure you have a great time. He is also very funny and keeps customers entertained. Great job, guys! I will definitely be coming back for another visit.
Food was ok but no better than you might expect. The staff were professional and friendly. The place, including the toilets, was clean and tidy, but quite frankly a bit tired. As for atmosphere, it felt a bit like one of those sad campsite cafeterias. The seats were simply uncomfortable and the decor looked worn. Could do with sprucing up.
For a business trip, I needed a simple snack. The range included a variety of heathy comfort, meat veggie. I had a beetroot veggie burger with salad which was produced very fast and certainly did the trick. The bar restaurant area was pleasant and the staff charming. Réservez une table maintenant
