Most diner style restaurants in the city open for breakfast at 6:00 or 7:00, I did not realize the Hi-Fi opened at 8:00. Was meeting a friend there for breakfast on weekday morning. Unfortunately I arrived there at 7:50 and it was raining hard and the door was locked. As I huddled under the very small overhang by the door, the waitress started watering plants in the front window and did not acknowledge me in any way or even make eye contact. She then went to the counter to continue opening duties. Door was not unlocked until precisely 8:00 am! Food was satisfactory breakfast fare comparable to other diners. Well worth the wait ! had to wait 20 minutes for a table for 7 family members but way worth it ! its small and tight seating bit the staff there are fantastic ! hot coffee and great attentive service ! Had the Biggest Breakfast on the menu and YES had to take some home ! will be back for sure ! Good Food Good SERVICE and FULL !
We've visited three times, and go back because of the tasty food and generous portions for a reasonable price. If you like poutine, their "Shawn’s Breakfast Poutine" is a must-try! However, be prepared to wait a while for your food after ordering (at least on the weekend). And by "a while" I mean 35+ mins.
This place was closed for 4 months after a fire destroyed it. They rebuilt it with almost the same decor. I went back to check on the food and it's as good as it was before. Great selection of breakfast at a reasonable price. One of the best breakfast in town as there is not a lot.
