We dine here on a Civic Holiday weekend which is also my Birthday. We stayed in Prince of Wales and this is one of the restaurant that own by the same hotel (Vintage Hotel) and that weekend they have the dinner package for $62.00 dollars per person 3 meal course which is actually good. Its a fine dining restaurant business casual is the dress code but hey, we so some people dress casually (like jeans short & t-shirt) so I guess they don't really implement the dress code. I ordered the PEI Mussels for starter, Slow Roasted Prime Rib with Corn Bread, Bake Potatoes and Veggies on the side for my main & Peach Cream Brûlée for my dessert. We are so happy we chose to eat at the Cannery. We were staying at the Prince of Wales and had a nice 15 minute walk to the restaurant. We were greeted with a smile and sat quickly. The tables are nicely spaced out ~ not packed in. Our server Sharon was very attentive and helpful with suggestions. Food & drink timing was perfect! My husband enjoyed the soup and salmon, I enjoyed the appetizer taster and cajun striploin. Such generous portions, we couldn't finish our meals and had to take our dessert back to our hotel room. A very nice and unique restaurant in a former cannery building that exhibits some of the original architecture. A very limited menu but excellent to exceptional food and service. Reason for not giving top marks are that the menu is limited. The service we found excellent but felt that it was a little insincere. The deserts had great presentation but in one case was found lacking flavour and the other was overly sweet. We would possibly go again, but after checking out some other restaurants in the NOTL area first.

Lovely setting and tables are arranged to optimize privacy. Good. Menu selection for wine and beer - good; apps and dinner - good. Salad, mussels, salmon - very good; prime rib - good. Agree with other comment that although service was good it was not outstanding. We'll continue to explore other restaurants in Niagara. Réservez une table maintenant

We stayed at the Pillar and Post and had the breakfast buffet and dinner here. The food was excellent and the service was very prompt and attentive. Dinner was absolutely marvelous. The four of us enjoyed our entrees -- Braised Short Ribs, Lamb Shanks, Lobster Tail and Shrimp Jambalaya Risotto -- all outstanding!

I went to the Cannery for breakfast as we were staying at the Pillar and the Post. Our server was Tara who was friendly and professional...Our breakfast was delicious. All fresh baked goods and delicious local tomatoes......They do offer a buffet for $19.99 per person but we opted for the a la carte menu.

We had dinner here while staying at the hotel. Food was amazing (seafood linguine, lamb shank) and reasonably priced. Good wine recommendation. Service a little less than expected at a 5 star property however would certainly return and recommend

We enjoyed a beautifully served meal in the exquisite ambience of this historic building. Loved it all from the drinks to the dessert! Our server, Patricia, was terrific--atttentive and friendly! We would definitely return! Réservez une table maintenant

We had good service and very good food. We don't eat a lot of red meat but were tempted to try the filet. It was cooked a perfect medium rare. Wine selection was a good representation of Niagara wines.
