I've always heard great things about this restaurant and seen pictures, but I had never visited until now. After driving around in search of a brunch spot, we ended up here. I highly recommend it, definitely a 10/10! I ordered the country breakfast waffle, and it was absolutely delicious. The waffle itself was fluffy and cooked to perfection. We made an unplanned stop in Richmond while driving home for Thanksgiving, and after searching for breakfast options, we were thrilled to find this gem just a block away from our hotel with fantastic reviews. We were so glad everything came together perfectly. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Waffle, while my wife chose the Grandma Waffle, and both were absolutely delicious. I had a mimosa and my wife enjoyed the S'milkshake. We highly recommend the Capitol Waffle Shop and are really pleased we decided to come here. We will definitely return!

This is a great small business! If you?re in Richmond and need a good breakfast spot you?re in for a treat. They have so many different dessert style waffles to choose from, thankfully it was a group of us so we all ordered different things from the ice cream waffles to the egg bowls. Everything was so tasty! The coffee was great too. I only wish they had one in NOVA. Please bring your waffles to us!

I was fortunate to get in just 10 minutes before they opened, and the place quickly filled up after that. The waffles are absolutely delicious, with an overwhelming variety of toppings to choose from—perhaps even too many! I was pleasantly surprised by the fried chicken waffle; I had never come across this combination before, but they executed it perfectly.
