"I placed my order over the phone and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. However, when I arrived 25 minutes later, my order was nowhere to be found. I ended up waiting a total of 40 minutes before receiving my food. I was also told that refunds are not given, as another customer who had been waiting for 45 minutes was informed about the rest of his order. The customer service was lacking, but the food was good once I finally got it."

The young lady at the counter is rude and does not know how to communicate effectively with customers. Her attitude is unpleasant and she only becomes friendly when she goes to the back to interact with the cook. It is off-putting that she does not make an effort to greet or talk to customers clearly. Additionally, the wait time for orders is long and the store could benefit from better cleanliness and customer service. It is important to prioritize good customer service and a positive attitude. Every Captain Jay's including this one is a bust. They hire low life's with no morals. I called at 3pm ordered, arrived at 4:20 and still had to wait, so I ordered something else that came out before the original ordered. I paid extra for lemon pepperseasoning but their was none at all sprinkled on even the manager agree to this fact. The worst part is I was charged $150 forfood that was supposed to cost $79. When I went back for a refund the manager acted like he never seen me before n refused toassist with my problem. I should have went Karen mode on them but didn't. They are crooks that let personal issues effect thecustomer's experience. I WILL NEVER spend another dollar with Captain Jay...

Food is decent, really like the coleslaw. But the attitudes and slow service sometimes makes me decide on elsewhere. And don't think your saving time by calling in because they will take your whole order on the phone and then tell you once you get therethat you have to order at the counter. This happened 3times and the third time I was informed that they only take orders at thecounter because they don't cook anything until you get there. Also if you decide to buy any of their shelved items PLEASE CHECKTHE EXPIRATION DATE. Practically every time we have gotten something it was out dated or almost out dated. Bathroom and lobbycould be cleaner but not the worse. Make sure you keep your receipt.

I called to place an order at this restaurant and when the girl answered the phone, she quickly recommended something for me to try, but she was talking so fast that I couldn't understand her. I informed her that I would like to place an order, but she then asked if I could come in to order instead. I found this confusing because she had just listed off specials over the phone. In the end, I decided to go to the branch in Oak Park, where I was able to place my order over the phone and pick it up. The place was clean and the staff were friendly.
