When the kid at the register told me $5.74 for a slice, I thought I heard him wrong or he misspoke. He seemed very annoyed that I was confused about the high price and that I was questioning. It 's bread cheese and sauce for goodness sake. The other guy behind the counter tried to justify it saying a slice was a quarter of a pizza, as he held up (with his bare hands) what looked like an old dried up triangle from a small pizza. I went in for a slice of cheese pizza, thought I 'd try different new pizza place, see if it 's a place I 'd like to patronise in the future. When the guy at the register said $5.74 for a slice of cheese I became really confused and at first thought I misheard or he misspoke. He seemed very annoyed that I questioned it.
