We were a party of 6 University students who work at a summer camp for Partners for Youth, 2 of us arrived ahead of the others, and right away one of the servers began a conversation with us and was quite humorous. When the others in our party got there, we were served by another man who was the absolute best server I have ever experienced. Very knowledgeable about his product, and where it is from. 3 of us got the iced tea, I've never drank a drink so slowly, I just had to savor the flavor. I got the jerk chicken with the cry sauce. The chicken was exactly what I was expecting and tasted delicious. Finally just the restaurants decor and music really added to the feel of dining in the Caribb...
We were a party of 5 Adults and 2 Infants (10 Months and 10 Weeks), From stepping into the restaurant to when we left the service was AMAZING and attentive. Mama's Ice Tea was a big hit with everyone (a must try for everyone). The coconut bread was very tasty and hot from the oven, we had a mixture of Jerk Chicken, Stir Fry, the Wrap and Beef Kabobs, everyone really enjoyed the varity of food and were stuffed upon leaving. The Tingle of the lips stir fry really did make you lips tingle. The 10 month old enjoyed eating his mothers Mild Jerk Chicken. We will be back and would recommend this restaurant to everyone.
A twist of fate brought to this warm and wonderful restaurant. Everything was fun: the food, the service - you MUST meet the chef ;) - and the feeling of being part of their close knit Caribbean family. For vegetarians, many of the disheartening can substitute tofu for the other proteins, and the coconut bread and tea are very good. Heat/spice love is limited to 2 choices, which isn't enough, and since each dish is individually made, shouldn't be an issue. However, I asked for it medium, and between the choices of mild or "tingle", he said that would be tingle. I struggled through the dish as it was quite hot, not mild. This should not have happened.
We came to Fredericton from San Diego for the Highland Games and were so pleased to find this restaurant. The decor was bright and cheerful and the food was so tasty. I had the Atlantic salmon with the jerk seasoning and it was the best I had in New Brunswick. The owner host is attentive to whatever you want and frequently visited our table to make sure we were satisfied. Highly recommend for a good food experience.
This was my first visit to this restaurant and my last. I went in and it was very pretty. My friend and I were greeted by an older gentleman and seated. The menu is small and extremely overpriced. Halfway through the meal the chef came out. He flirted and acted like a womanizer. Made us feel very uncomfortable. Definitely not the place for this. Will not return
