If you’re looking for authentic, homemade Filipino food, Zarlitos is it. My friend and I ordered takeout, and eating this reminded me of going to a friend’s house and trying their parent’s delicious food. Disclaimer: if you are health conscious and do not like to eat pork, this review may not be for you, but don’t worry, as they have other options available! I always get the lechon combo from Zarlitos. You get pancit bihon, garlic fried rice, lumpia, and a generous serving of lechon kuwali. The lechon is crispy, melts in your mouth, and tastes great with the garlic fried rice and mang tomas sauce. This is Filipino soul food at its very finest, and I never leave Zarlitos feeling dissatisfied....

It’s been at least 12 years since I’ve been here. It’s all coming back to me now. There were nights when the wind was so cold That my tummy growled and if I just listened to it I’ll jump outside the window. There were days when the sun was so cruel That all my hunger turned to dust And I just knew I had to come here and order. I finished eating chickaron bulaklak in the instant that it came. And I can't remember where or when or how And I consumed every single Goto and Mami with Zarlitos mix. But when I eatthe lumpia like this And I eat the dasilog like that I just have to admit That it's all coming back to me When I eat the goto like this And I eat the mami like that It's so hard to believe...

Zarlitos had gone through an ownership change in 2020. I went in to see if the quality and flavors the same. The new owners told me some of the previous cooks remained on staff and they were using the same recipes. For this visit I ordered some crispy sisig and the Zarlitos fried rice. I am pleased to report the flavor and quality have survived the ownership change.

Very neat and accessible place. They provide big meals and for reasonable rates. I loved the menu very much and the waiters were super welcoming and explanatory. Highly recommended.
