This was my second time at this location and i was disappointed at my service, just like my first visit they had lack of servers, there was only 1 table of maybe like 6 people and we had to wait cause they only had one server working. We waited awhile for our food, and it didnt come out together. I received the wrong sides and my husband got his seafood platter that was overcooked. The waitress even agreed and had the kitchen remake his food. I dont blame the server as she was the only one working and was very apologetic. Once our orders were corrected, the food was good but i dont think i will take that drive from Baltimore to visit this pace again

One of my favorite spots. Today I ordered via Door Dash BBQ chicken and under the extra option you can add a single item for certain items. The BBQ chicken was delicious. The beef short rib was tender and delicious with a delicious BBQ sauce, onions with green and red pepper. Potato Salad, (a little sweet and I still love it, yams and macaroni and cheese are delicious. My family and a friend had birthday parties at Carolina Kitchen before we met and for her. Lance London is very nice and authentic as he greets his guest. They have a new location on Central Avenue in Maryland with plant base options.

I have never eaten at a restaurant that does not offer unsweetened tea. All of the tea was sweetened. It makes no sense. Everything was so sweet. Are they not conscious of people being diabetics and have sugar restrictions in this day and age? I would think they would be more health-conscious. Everything was super sweet bread, with extra sweet on top of it. It makes no sense. You need to have better options. In our community, we are all suffering from something.Majority are suffering from diabetes and high Blood Pressure.You need to do better.

Took my father here on 6/15 for a Father's Day lunch because the one in Northeast DC is closed, and the service was always great. The hostess/greeter and the food were great at this one, too. The service not so much.

I live in PA and consistently find excuses to make my way to DC so we can stop here on our way home. It can get pricey but it is SO worth it. Cannot recommend the blackened chicken enough.

Believe the hype!! The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because my fried lobster was a little to salty. The music was on point too.

Awesome soul food. Great customer service. Dining area is nice and enjoyable. Definitely give it a try.

The only issue I had was having to pay extra for additional corn muffins to eat with my meal.
