The food was delicious and well-seasoned, I couldn't resist trying a bit of everything on everyone's plate. There were soulful sides like sweet potatoes and cabbage that were all very tasty. This was my second time at this location and i was disappointed at my service, just like my first visit they had lack of servers, there was only 1 table of maybe like 6 people and we had to wait cause they only had one server working. We waited awhile for our food, and it didnt come out together. I received the wrong sides and my husband got his seafood platter that was overcooked. The waitress even agreed and had the kitchen remake his food. I dont blame the server as she was the only one working and was very apologetic. Once our orders were corrected, the food was good but i dont think i will take that drive from Baltimore to visit this pace again
I really enjoyed my first actual visit to this little spot. I have been to quite a few places that claim to have that Southern style of cooking but could not live up to it. I'm from the deep South I was very impressed. I felt like I was back home.
The menu has changed since my last visit and there were no servers to assist. The food was placed in carryout containers for dining in. I will not be returning to this restaurant chain. Sincerely, a resident of Chicago/Wisconsin.

Took my father here on 6/15 for a Father's Day lunch because the one in Northeast DC is closed, and the service was always great. The hostess/greeter and the food were great at this one, too. The service not so much.
This restaurant has always been consistent! I have been a customer since they were located on Colesville Road. The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is fantastic!
I live in PA and consistently find excuses to make my way to DC so we can stop here on our way home. It can get pricey but it is SO worth it. Cannot recommend the blackened chicken enough.
Awesome soul food. Great customer service. Dining area is nice and enjoyable. Definitely give it a try.
