the restaurant gerardo casa is located in the Asturian village of prendes and closes on Mondays, nights except Friday and 15 days in January. the restaurant room offers place for 120 guests. It is a coquette room, very spacious, with large windows with a visillo. In its decoration the pastel shades predominate. This restaurant is one of the shrines of the new Asturian cuisine. All excellent as you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant. I take off a star for the general delay in the service (having ordered from the menu, not the tasting menu), which in the end causes you to fill up on bread or water because the dishes take too long to arrive and you don't end up enjoying yourself as you deserve. In any case, the ham croquettes are an excellent choice, as are the fabada and, of course, the rice pudding. the great culinary experience of the father, combined with the freshness of the ideas of the child makes a more than successful combination. if this adds the excellent raw material and the efforts to seek perfection, one remains without words. The equipment of the room, especially the subway, a professional, is also worth noting in the efforts to please the customers. We wanted the tasting menu, but as one of the diners has some allergies (dry fruit, fish) they adapted it smoothly. It was a real gift for the senses! But if I have to stay with something, it's definitely rice with milk!

I am a lover of Asturian food and I have come to spend a lot of money on a meal but in this restaurant the truth is that the food was good but it was too expensive. For example I was charged more than 4 euros for a piece of fairly hard bread that was sure to be several days ago. But I don't complain about food, I complain about staff and high prices. gerardo casa is one of the great restaurants of asturias, combining tradition and modernity. moran frames, following the family tradition and more recently of his father pedro, is able to bring traditional cuisine and dishes to another level, with technique and flavor, creating a round experience. On our trip to cunning we were recommended to come to this place to eat the typical food and that was what we did, the truth that the site was very cozy and beautiful. a little expensive but worth it.
