The quality of the restaurant has definitely decreased since covid reopening. Unsure whether or not this is due to a new chef? Or just insufficient attention in the kitchen. For example, we ordered peking duck, and they used to have one of the best in town. No longer….the duck skin was soft and wrinkled as though they had cooked it in advance and was kept warm for a period of time prior to serving. I’ve included a photo of the wrinkly skin for visualization. Uneven and thick flour shells can be seen in the 2nd photo.Most of the food came out lukewarm with the exception of the 1 sizzling dish.The 2 stars given is for good service, otherwise they would get 1 for the food quality. I visited this restaurant on a Sunday at 11 am. I made reservations and was seated immediately. The workers spoke some English. We ordered our food on a sheet of paper and the dim sum arrived fairly quickly, with the first dish coming in less than 10 minutes. We had the chicken feet, shumai, egg tart, bun with custard, stir fry noodles, and shrimp dumplings. The portions were good, the presentation was classic, and it was a good value. We were in and out in 75 minutes. I would definitely come back again. Tip: they accept cards but it's better to bring cash.
Casa Victoria is definitely one of my favorite places to get dim sum in Markham. Prices are affordable and food quality is consistently high.Service can definitely be a bit spotty at times but the absence of wait lines and great dim sum keeps me coming back.Must trys are definitely the red rice rolls and the deep fried taro dumplings.
This restaurant has the best dim sum in town! All of the dishes are excellent, especially the sui mai and the shrimp and chive pan-fried dumplings. It can get very busy during lunch hours on weekends, and the prices on the menu are on the higher side. However, I have no complaints as long as the food continues to be delicious. Casa Victoria offers some of the best dim sum in the Greater Toronto Area. The breakfast ambiance and decor are fantastic, making for a great dining experience. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is amazing, and the service is impeccable. While it may be on the pricier side, it is definitely worth it.
We came to this restaurant for dim sum, and it was the worst dim sum place we have ever visited. Everything was mediocre at best. Despite hearing good things about this place, my uncle mentioned that they recently changed owners, which may explain why the food did not live up to its reputation.
