stars all the way,,was down from glasgow for a freinds christening,,was looking for somewhere on the sat night to surprise my other half as her favourite food is italian,well both of us were blown away by this little gem of a restaraunt,from the moment you wlak through the door your a greeted and treated with the most friendliest of service,,the food is cooked fresh from your order and served pipping hot without having to wait any length of time,,waiters always making sure your ok without being to pushy,, the food was amazing from start to finish,,large plates with large portions,,home made chips are out of this world,,if your a sweet person you wont taste a better homemade cheese cake than...

I have given this an overall because of the OUTSTANDING value to be had. This restaurant should be a focal point of everyone's visit to the NE Coast.Quirkilly decorated with a mermaid clad entry arch, bizarrely coloured tiles, chandeliers and large gold ornate mirrors, this is definitely worth the short wait you may experience on entry. Always full at peak time (though sedate during the weekday) nowhere on Tyneside comes close to this excellent eatery in delivering quality Italian food swiftly and courteously.During my last visit on an early Sunday evening five of us paid a total of for three courses and two servings of tomato garlic bread and two bottles of red wine. this pub/restaurant is located on the north shields fish quay. we had the three course lunch specialty, which was just under £8 each. we had kartoffel skins and dives to start. then we had two pizzas and one had pasta. we're all done with coffee. all were really nice (and hot). the personal was helpful. it was really much to do for a Tuesday afternoon. we are often in north Shields/Tynemouth so will probably eat again.

always a very warm welcome from the personal, especially an inclusive family atmosphere, especially for young people birthday. nothing is always too much for the waiting staff they are all friendly and attentive. eating is always well cooked. no hesitation to recommend this place as a place to your family or a few for a meal on the midday or evening meal. We decided to come here for Sunday dinner today and I'm so happy we did. The three-course specialty was a great deal. The service was quick, the staff was friendly and cheerful, and the food was delicious. They even had outdoor seating overlooking the street. We will definitely be returning next time.

We have been frequenting Cassia Sambuca for many years now, since it first opened! We have never had a bad meal and the service has always been perfect. It only seems to be improving with time. Thank you Danny and staff for a wonderful dining experience.

The food at this restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. The waiters were fantastic and made us feel very welcome. My grandparents especially loved all the attention they received.

Can't fault the food at all. Mussels to start were lovely. Steak main was also faultless. Cheesecake for dessert mmmmm. Great price and great service. Will definitely be back. Réservez une table maintenant

Fantastic restaurant very good value for money. Food was amazing, staff and service excellent. Staff had a great sense of humour, I would totally recommend a visit.
