I do work here but I'm not just giving a good review because of that. Castaway has vbig portion sizes and they are very accommodating by sometimes making something that isn't even on the menu if someone asks for it and the place isn't to busy. If it's busy then it won't happen but it has happened before. Those are the only two things I will day about Castaway since I work there. Commenting on the quality of the food or the friendliness of the staff wouldn't be fair since I work there so I'll just let everyone decide for them selves.
The people that work there are not friendly. They look very unhappy. They brought all the meals except for one and were incredibly rude when we asked where our missing meal was. When I finally got the missing meal (after asking 2x) it was 20 minutes later and there was no apology or explanation. Food was bland. Place smelled bad and bathroom was unclean. No outdoor seating options.
This place is truly terrible and completely overrated. Maybe the worst service I've ever experienced. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks as our server fumbled around with everything. She couldn't have been more unorganized and careless. Then the real disaster, the food, finally arrived. We couldn't even eat half. We just paid and left, never to return again. Beware.
Terribly disappointed!! Waited from 9:44 to 10:25 am and didn't get seated! We were 5 adults and 3 children, so I understand larger party but many others were seated and table available in back room; poor organization; told they were cleaning for table to seat us entire time. Not what it used to be. I've tried time and time again to give more chances and keep getting disappointed, hung up on, or the wrong food. I will no longer eat here after the hostess admitted to hanging up on me intentionally today when I was placing an order for takeout. Not worth it.
