As for the pizzas, they tend to be inconsistent—sometimes they’re delicious, but other times they come out burnt and unappetizing. The staff is mostly quite young and often appear more focused on socializing with each other than on serving customers. This has led to longer wait times for service than one would expect. For example, last night I ordered a drink after already having a flight, but after about ten minutes of watching our server busy herself with clearing tables and chatting with others, we had to ask another waitress about my drink. It turned out my order had been entered into the system, but our server hadn’t yet poured it. The waitress did get it for us, but it was frustrating...
The Music from Victoria was 5star however the service wasn’t present. I walked in and asked where to go for service; a waitress told me to sit anywhere and someone would find me… apparently I wasn’t noticed. 10 minutes later no one came to serve me… (i shouldn’t have to look twice for service or ask someone again to take my money so I left) Reply I think it shows a businesses opportunity to grow when they’re willing to to make something right that didn’t go as planned. And so I changed my one star review to a three.
This is a fantastic local spot! They have a great selection of beers, and the service exceeded our expectations. We had a minor issue with our pizza order that we weren't even aware of, but the attentive staff noticed and proactively replaced it with a second pizza, even though we were completely satisfied with the original one. We stumbled into a very fun Bingo Night at Castaway's. The grouper sandwich was amazing, pizza came out over cooked at first and without us saying anything they told us they were cooking another pizza for us since the first one was over cooked. Our server, Tommy, was awesome and helped enhance our visit greatly! Drinks were cold, food was delicious and the Bingo Night was a blast! Highly recommend this place, we will be back soon.
We ate here our last night on vacation and everything was great. We loved the boneless wings and the pizza was good. The manager Tommy was so nice and stopped by the table a few times to check on us. They also hosted free Bingo which was so much fun! The two guys running it were funny and friendly. We won two t-shirts to bring back to NJ. I would definitely recommend Castaway's for a casual and affordable lunch or dinner.
Oh my gosh what a fun time. We went to the bar next door and it was okay, but came in here and Bridgett immediately welcomed us and poured the best margarita we've ever had. Key and Kelly made sure that's we we doing good Enjoyed a happy hour pizza . looking around at all the people, both customers or those that worked here, everyone was smiling. I'm not impressed! This place came highly recommend. We obviously don't have the same standards. Johnny longboards was much better for my money. We ordered the margarita pizza and the lack of cheese they put on it was ridiculous. It was basically dough and sauce. The Pina colada had such big cig chunks of ice in it that you couldn't drink it with a straw. Réservez une table maintenant
