The Castle Aberystwyth

We were warmly greeted upon our arrival at the hotel, and our initial impression of the room was quite nice. However, parking was a bit of a challenge, and it took us about 45 minutes to find a spot. We stayed for two nights in a twin room with a sea view, but encountered a couple of issues. The lights in the room seemed to have a loose wire, causing them to flicker on and off. Although we mentioned this, no attempt was made to address the problem. Additionally, the bathroom lacked windows, which was unsettling when showering or using the toilet in darkness. Overall, a good value stay in a pretty central location. There is parking in the street nearby, but it can be a bit of a challenge to get a slot. Staff did enquire about whether i had managed to find somewhere. Stayed in a top floor room (you'll need to negotiate stairs . Checked in during the afternoon and the friendly staff took us up. The room itself was clean and reasonably well appointed. Pillows a bit small. Had a radiator that was very hot, although this went off at some point overnight. Hairdryer was a bit tepid. TV is a bit small and very high up, and struggled with signal a bit at points (it was super windy , but otherwise just fine. Shower was great and good towels. Bring your own...

Not good price for money. Was a last minute booking as travelling up to Snowdon, wish we had done some research first. I'm unsure how this can be considered a hotel when it doesn't provide food facilities. Breakfast is cold breakfast only for £7.50 per person. I would consider this to be an Inn (pub with room facilities). The shower was luke warm and wouldn't get hot, the vent in the bathroom didn't work, no air con so only breeze is via the window which when open in the evening you hear the pub noise below, had some guys shouting at eachother around 11.30-midnight. it's close to the beach and the castle but £120 for room only is excessive when you can book a guest house including breakfast...

Everything is great, even the barman is super friendly and helpful. Although the room maybe expensive. A bit much for seaview when it is nothing. Bed is comfortable. Will I go back? Of course! But I will not have sea view room. I paid extra for nothing. Réservez une table maintenant

Very friendly and welcoming staff, neat bar with a pleasant atmosphere. A short walk to the beach.The room was very clean and modern with a lovely view of the sea. Enjoyed my stay would recommend it to family and friends.

Room was very comfortable. Fantastic shower. Very close to seafront between the castle and the marina. Room was cleaned but didn't have much contact with staff, who were polite and friendly when encountered

My partner and I really loved it here . A genuinely lovely place to stay. The barman who greeted us couldn't have been more welcoming. The rooms were extremely comfortable. Definitely recommend

It's a decent spot for a relaxing drink and a game of pool, but I'm not as impressed with it since the renovation. Réservez une table maintenant
