I came to this restaurant by chance to grab a quick bite as most of the other restaurants in the area were closed. I didn’t have any expectations and just went in with an open mind. As soon as you walk in, the interior deco seemed very disjointed as it didn’t match the name of the restaurant. The waitress was eating on the restaurant table while others were eating. Caulfield Chinese Restaurant is one of the longest and oldest restaurants around Monash University. The place situated just in front of the Caulfield Station and next to Monash University. The restaurant looks old from outside and not bright inside. The table wasn't cleaned properly as it's very oily and smell funny. Customer staff wasn't friendly and polite; Poor customer service. Delicious and cheap. I eat here regularly. Reliable, little place frequented mainly by the Asian students the area. Casual not swanky. Curry laksa and char kway tiao are divine but have never been disappointed by any meal here and I’ve eaten here maybe 12 times by now. Service can be a bit slow as it juggles a take-away trade as well.

Absolutely horrific service. I have been here twice and both times the service has been horrible the girls never say hello, never smile, and always are so unaccomodating. The food is below average and takes ages to come out. Will not be going back agai

eating here is fast and big, but the tasty depends on what they order. some food is good as the fish I ordered, but my friend ordered a bark with picked up cauliflower soup is not so delicious.
