Been wanting to try this place for a long time. I love French restaurants. Unfortunately there isn’t much for French food on the menu but the owner did say if you book ahead they can pre-order escargot and they serve it out of the shell in what I’m sure is some great garlic buttery yumminess. Service is exceptional (we had Andy) and they personalize the menu which is fun. You can tell the Caesar salad dressing is home made (very good). Great mussels and steak tar tar. Not a fan of sirloin being served with the steak frites. Not much flavor to that cut but it was cooked perfectly with a very nice outside sear. Frites and aioli were great. My favorite restaurant in Minnesota! The food is consistently amazing and full of flavor. I've celebrated many birthdays here, both for myself and my friends. The owner is incredibly friendly, especially when we brought our kids for dinner. He entertained them with tricks, chatted with them, and asked them questions. Now they're always asking when we're going to visit Ken again at the restaurant with the card on the ceiling!
MY FAVORITE restaurant in Minnesota. Food is always delicious and bursting with flavor. Had multiple birthday celebrations here for myself and my friends.The owner is so friendly, especially when we took our kids here for dinner. Cave Vin was a wonderful respite from the cold. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The food fresh and lovingly prepared. We had Moules Frites and the Pistachio-Crusted Pork Tenderloin. Both were delicious, the broth for the mussels garlicky and buttery. Delicious. Thanks, Chelsea, Benjamin, and Ken. You guys understand hospitality. Salud.
OMG, we were here on opening night, all those years ago. We have rediscovered Cave Vin after coming back to Mpls. The food, quality hasn't diminished. I think we have re-found our new go to restaurant. Service is great, servers are attentive and friendly.
