Chalet-India - Réservation de table

I visted the other day for a lunchtime buffet menu and found it very poor in quality. My main problems were: 1. The only meat (non-fish) curry on offer was a Thai green curry, and even then not a good or tasty one. A Thai green curry? In an Indian restaurant? That is seriously lacking in imagination and authenticity, and I know some Indian restaurant owners who would be horrified by that. You are an Indian restaurant, provide at least ONE choice of Indian meat curry. If I wanted Thai food I would go to a Thai restaurant, and it is better to stick to what you can cook well, rather than cook other cuisines badly. Very disappointing buffet choice and quality. 2. Making a reservation was easy because they spoke perfect English. The place was pretty crowded on a Thursday night and a reservation may be necessary. The restaurant is right next to the Horgen Oberdorf train station. If you don't care about price, the taste was very good, atmosphere at the bar was good, view of Zurichsee was also very good but be ready to pay first class prices. The meat that they use in curry is very tender. It's a good change from all the Italian and sausage restaurants. I would definitely go back here again because everything our table ordered was delicious. Wir waren letzten Samstag zu viert im Chalet India, hatten die unterschiedlichsten Speisen und waren alle sehr begeistert. Sicher einer der besten Inder um den Zürichsee. Der Service ist diskret, freundlich, herzlich (wir hatten alle 3 Kellner). Wer schlechte Erfahrungen mit ihnen macht ist wahrscheinlich selber nicht gerade offen/freundlich... Als Indien Reisende und Indien Liebende ist dies ein Ort, um dem Fernweh etwas abzuhelfen. Namaste, Dhanyawad und sicherlich: Phir Milenge!

Mit Abstand das wohl leckerste indische Restaurant in der Schweiz. Egal, ob man vor Ort speist oder Essen bestellt, die Gerichte sind stets köstlich. Das Ambiente ist sehr ansprechend und das Personal äusserst freundlich. Bei Abholung wird sogar gerne mal ein Getränk spendiert. Wir waren eine Gruppe von 8 Personen und hatten reserviert. In den Service waren verschiedene Mitarbeitende involviert. Sie erschienen mir nicht sehr motiviert zu sein. Es erschien eher wie ein Pflichtübung. Weinauswahl sehr eingeschränkt. Essen war in Ordnung aber nicht speziell gut so dass man wieder kommen möchte.

Die Speisen gehören zum Besten was ich an indischer Küche, ausserhlab Indiens oder Londons, bisher angeboten bekam. Der Service ist freundlich, diskret und aufmerksam. Die Einrichtung ist ansprechend und von guter Qualität.

Every time we went there with my wife we were happy, food tastes good. Service level can vary depending on the waiter but in general they are polite.

Gutes reichhaltiges Büffet! Selbstbedienung. Gutes Ambiente. Durch räumliche Unterteilung angenehme Atmosphäre.
