My husband had the steak and ale pie and I had chickpea spinach and rice curry. We had a table by the window. We both enjoyed our meals and a bottle of Malbec. We were very surprised that the place was empty except for one other couple. For the stunning view and affordable menu the place should have been packed especially during graduation week when every other place required reservations made very far in advance. The other couple in the restaurant had fish and chips and said they enjoyed their meal but it was too much food! The decor is golf decor. The staff was attentive. We took advantage of the 'eat out to help out offer' at this restaurant, but we were disappointed to find out that there was a limited menu, which was not disclosed when we made our reservation. The options were very restricted and the quality of the food we ordered was poor. The kids' pizza was particularly disappointing, tasting worse than school dinners. The vegetarian risotto was stodgy and lacked flavor, and the chips that came with the burger were soggy. Our waitress seemed inexperienced and it took a long time for our bill to be calculated. When we finally received the total, we were not shown a breakdown of the charges. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this restaurant.
The best days of this hotel are behind it I think. The restaurant is a mixture of Faulty Towers and Ramsays Kitchens Nightmares. Yes the views are great, but that is really all it has going for it. The decor is somewhat dated while the food is average at very best. Item's missing from the menu as they've run out of an ingredient and only wholegrain mustard aren't what I would expect these days (small points I know). For me there are too many excellent restaurants near by to go to this one unless/until they improve their offering.
Have been to the Champions Grill on several occasions and it never fails to impress. The most recent was for High Tea which was exceptional. The staff are so friendly and attentive the service is excellent as is the food which is freshly made and well presented. I’ve called this the hidden gem as it is alliteration from the main centre but well worth it. The view of the west sands is stunning at all times of the year. Well worth a visit.

The setting is magical the Old Course, the New Course but don't come here for the food or the service. Come here to drink in the atmosphere and the lore and legend.We ate dinner here and it was MEH not great, not even average. But, again, your at the Mecca of Golf enjoy a drink and drink in the ambiance!
We came across this restaurant by chance having read the menu outside. Located on the first floor of the hotel if offers amazing views out to sea and the walls are lined with golfing memorabilia. Food was good and our waiter friendly. Worth a visit just for the view if you can get a window table
The restaurant offers a small but well-executed menu with stunning views of the ocean. I will definitely return to dine here again. The staff were also very attentive to following COVID guidelines.
Due to Covid restrictions, the menu was somewhat limited, but the food was excellent. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and the service was efficient and relaxed, just as we hoped for.

What a welcome respite from a long day! The staff was absolutely lovely- Pam was espicially accommodating! Good coffee and hot chocolate; cozy and inviting atmosphere!
