Changs Bakery - Réservation de table

Family from Amsterdam driving from 1000 Islands to Niagara and looking for some real food beyond the usual junk. Taking a turn off the freeway into Whitby we spotted the Caldenese Bakery (same road as Farmer’s Mkt). Wow amazing sandwiches (chicken parmigano with sauce),fresh, healthy salads natural tasting, indulgent desserts like dulce du leche cheesecake a host of other tarts, cakes and breads we’d not seen since leaving Europe. So much better than the standard stuff. Owner was super friendly, offered a spontaneous cheese tasting good conversation. Highly recommended!!

Worst bakery ever, I bought a few pastries from this bakery on September 7th, 2023, all 4 pastries were stale and one of them had a smell of food gone bad. We saw amazing reviews for this place on google and thought to try it out, BIG mistake.I threw out 3 of the 4 pastries as they were horrible!!!

Owner is extremely rude and will not be coming back here. I asked her if the sandwich came on bread or a bun and she was extremely rude about the question and treated me like I swore at her. Extremely rude, unwelcoming and unprofessional. Will never come here again.

Amazing is all I can say. Ordered a birthday cake there. Was exceptional. So well done, and delicious. You won't be disappointed. See for yourself. I dare anyone to go in there and walk out with nothing!! Réservez une table maintenant

Good bakery for takeout lunch or a quick treat. The prices are very reasonable (I e. Tuna melt $9, some pastries <2$ . The egg tarte eas delicious and quite large

The baked goods were great but the customer service was awful. Was so excited to visit this place but after today, definitely won’t be coming back again.
