We were looking to dine at an Indian restaurant on our way to Connecticut, and I had come across numerous positive reviews for Chaska. I was a bit hesitant at first, mainly because some comments mentioned that Chaska focuses on modern Indian cuisine or fusion dishes rather than authentic food. This restaurant is fantastic and is one of my top recommendations for anyone seeking a unique dining experience at Garden City Center. I've tried various items from the menu and have never been disappointed. The service is consistently excellent, and it’s a wonderful local business run by an award-winning restaurateur. The menu offers a variety of options for those who enjoy traditional Indian cuisine, as well as for those who may be less familiar with it. I highly recommend starting with the Chili Cauliflower as an appetizer—it's absolutely a must-try!
I visited this restaurant for the first time about a month ago after hearing great things about the food. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by a friendly host. The restaurant's decor was stunning. I decided to try the Chicken Biryani, a dish I had never eaten before, but the waiter took the time to explain it to me. Everything was absolutely delicious! We ordered garlic cilantro naan, Punjabi samosa chaat, Goan chicken curry, and a warm pineapple upside down cake topped with coconut ice cream. Each dish was flawless in flavor, presentation, and service. I highly recommend this restaurant!
