Château de l'Hoste

Celebrated a birthday last night at the best restaurant around and were sorely disappointed. Only 2 other couples dining, menu was limited for us as we do not eat meat, service was curt and the employees were cleaning up and putting away all the table settings around us as we ate. There were ants on the table from the plant placed there. The dessert was described improperly and in the end the bill was outrageous for the quality of food and service.

We celebrated our anniversary with a lunch at the Château. We sat outside on the terrace and had great service, although we were the only guests. One had the daily menu which was delicious and the other a la carte. Both had a great combination of regional and French kitchen also the wines were excellent from the region. The atmosphere was serene and beautiful, we could imagine staying at this hotel can be great as well...!

Food was average service was awful ,we asked for a Particular bottle of wine but were told they didn’t have any more so were offered a different organic one . Four of us said we didn’t like it and wanted to change . the maitre De got annoyed and then ignored us . Very unprofessional Also had a breakfast here which was €15 each and we’re just left to our own devices no one explaining what was available service awful

Our small tour group stayed 3 nights at Chateau de l'Host. What a lovely surprise to find such an outstanding establishment in the country. Our room was very clean and well presented, the bathroom was large with a bath/shower. We had the most amazing evening meals, the food was imaginative and beautifully plated. If you have the opportunity to stay of dine here, take it!

We had a memorable diner at this restarant. Each of the three dishes was exellent. The ambiance was relaxed and the service was superb.
