The host also served us during our visit. He brought a carafe of ice water and a large teapot of hot jasmine tea before taking our order. He provided helpful descriptions of the various dishes we inquired about and was extremely patient and accommodating. The food was outstanding. My niece ordered fried rice that was said to be a heat level of 2 out of 10, but it turned out to be much spicier—more like a level 4 or 5. We ended up taking it back to our VRBO and transformed it into a delicious soup by adding vegetables and tomato juice, and it remained quite spicy. I had the worst experience with Chinese food here. We ordered three chicken dishes: Honey Chicken, Almond Boneless with gravy, and Thai Crispy Chicken with green beans. Sadly, all three were overcooked to the point that we had to toss them out. The gravy looked more like a pool of grease than an actual sauce. I really hope this was just an isolated incident, especially considering the many positive reviews I've read. Unfortunately, that $52 was a complete waste. If this is typical of their takeout, I would suggest steering clear.
I popped in for a quick lunch and had a fantastic experience. The buffet was tidy, and the food was hot and fresh. Some of us opted for the buffet while others selected items from the menu, and everything was simply delightful. I’m looking forward to my next visit!
