Best French onion soup ever. Have been here several times and always had excellent food. Atmosphere is very pleasant and, overall, Chef T's has a special, unique ambiance. Love the southern mansion that it was and the fine dining restaurant that it has become. Save room for their desserts. We came back because we loved the dinner the first time around. This time we ordered salads, which literally came out of a can at $9.00 a pop. Canned green beans and canned beets topped the garden salad. Probably the worst salads we ever had to eat out, especially at that price. The fish dish had rice that tasted like a box I would make for the kids. The veggies didn't taste fresh either. For a bill that was almost $200.00 to include a bottle of wine and an appetizer we won't be back here.
A little skeptical due to not being a typical restaurant building but was pleasant surprised when we entered. Great atmosphere and service. The main dishes were very good, we had stuffed cod and chicken San something. Escargot was a great appetizer. We also had the fried calamari, which was the only thing I wouldn't order again. It wasn't bad but would have preferred less breading. I would recommend this place and would come back.
Chef T's is one of our favorites and always dependable for good food and service. From our usual waiter Sam, to the usual varied and interesting menu and special offerings. We always enjoy our evening... I went here on a double dinner date and felt like we were at an exclusive dinner at the Chefs home. It has an intimate setting, an attentive and friendly service, delicious food, clean environment.
