It was overpriced imo it looked good but one of the noodle dishes I had was bitter for some reason. It was weird like the noodles and veggies tasted fresh but the soup had a weird aftertaste to it. It didn’t sit well with my stomach afterwards too so I don’t think I’m going to go back. Last Asian restaurant I went to had a fly in it : now I think I’m officially traumatized. I love Asian food but I seem to always go at the wrong place wrong time. I’ll cook from home when I want Asian food until then.
The food is excellent. Although it has a fusion taste, it does not lose the soul of Sichuan cuisine. Highly recommend the wok-fried pork intestines/crispy soy noodles/brown sugar glutinous rice cake. However, Mapo Tofu is a bit too spicy, so I don’t recommend ordering it.
I’m not usually great with spicy food, but I came to Chengdu Impression with friends and tried the Honey Glazed Roasted Duck. I was surprised at how amazing Szechuan cuisine can be without the heat. Totally worth it!
The ingredients are very fresh and the bullfrog is of high quality, but the spicy chicken tastes too monotonous. The overall price is a bit too high. Tip: The front is closed, you have to enter through the back door.
I ordered pickled fish for takeout last night. The fish was not cooked and was very raw. The fish pieces were all stuck together and not cooked. It was still a little raw in the middle. I was very disappointed.
Chengdu Impression in Arcadia is amazing! The authentic Szechuan food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is so inviting. The VIP rooms are perfect for a cozy, private dining experience. Loved it!
Our favorite restaurant. Highly recommended for Chinese stomach lovers who love spicy food! Especially lunch. Cheap and good quality...the manager here is super welcoming.
I’m all about spicy food, and Chengdu Impression did not disappoint! The Szechuan flavors were on point, I loved the Wagyu Mapo Tofu and Spicy Boiled Bullfrog!
