My wife and I visited this restaurant on August as part of our family reunion weekend. We have been there several times over the years whenever we are in the Cavendish area. We have never been disappointed with our meals. The menu has...many many options and the food is always tasty. The prices are reasonable as well. Eat several times at this restaurant last year and enjoyed our meals. Returned to PEI this August made reservation for Sunday evening arrived and had to wait minutes to be seated. We just spent a glorious week on the island. Our only complaint was how difficult it was to find restaurants that had gluten free options for our daughter who has Celiac disease. What a pleasant surprise to see a complete Gluten Free menu at Chez...Yvonne’s. A great selection. Spaghetti, hot dogs, grilled cheese, fries, Caesar salad and so much more. My daughter had a Caesar salad with gluten free croutons which was delicious (I sampled and was sorry I didn’t order one too). I was there a week go in Cavendish and ate at this restaurant times. Generally, the food is excellent and the service was fine times out of the The poor lady at the main door is a bit overwhelmed, with seating people,...operating the cash, and last but not least answering the phone. The restaurant needs to address this issue as I had a reservation, arrived on time, but had to wait an hour before being seated. The waiter service on the supper was not professional. He didn't even ask us if we wanted a coffee or desert. He left our table cluttered with dishes the entire evening. He walked by our table at least or times and did not even bother to look at us. We visited Chez Yvonne’s on August Inside it is a very welcoming atmosphere. We both commented on how it felt, which isn’t something we usually do. Drinks and menu’s were delivered very promptly and our order taken. We ordered the fish and chips...and a hot turkey. My husband hates when places don’t use real turkey so he was very pleased when they asked if he wanted dark or white meat. The food was delicious and the service was perfect. Stopped here during our visit to Cavedish. Really enjoyed it. Lots of home cooked and diner style meals. The staff was very hepful and nice. Prices were good. My wife had fish and chips, which she really liked, and I had a curry turkey wrap,...which was also very tasty. I must say that we were served our food lightning fast! I swear we did not wait even minutes for our meals. I would definitely go back.
