I’m giving two stars because the ramen itself is still very tasty. However, the experience compared to when this place first opened is vastly different. I saw staff using their fingers to handle the noodles, seemingly to separate them, without wearing gloves. They also used their hands to place chicken wings into to-go boxes. The portion size of the ramen has significantly decreased as well. When I went to the restroom, I could see into the kitchen, and it was incredibly dirty. Chicago Ramen is one of our top 5 five favorite ramen restaurants we’ve been to across the U.S.! My husband I try a new ramen place everywhere we go, and it’s the best place to eat before a flight at O’Hare or a concert in Rosemont. The flavor is phenomenal, they are open late even on Sundays, and have great proportions. Highly recommend sharing a bowl asking about the different broths.
The food here is amazing! The beef ramen with level 1 spice is so good and you'll easily get two meals out of your order! Seating here is very cramped though. They have mostly counter seating and two tables. The problem is the two tables are so close to the counter seats that you can barely pass through. The Wheeling location is bigger and has better seating.

Was craving late-night comfort soup after a tough evening flight into ORD. The friendly, attentive staff at Chicago Ramen snuck me in 20 minutes to closing, got me set with a hot bowl of vegetarian broth and noodles that hit the spot, and let me dine in while they cleaned up. Highly recommend!
Best Ramen in Chicago, HANDS DOWN! Flavor, freshness, portion, all worth traveling 45 min from the city to get our Ramen fix every once in a while. Hiy recommended!
The Tsukrmen and White Miso Ramen were very tasty and the broth was one of the best we’ve ever had. Must try!
