Let me start by saying that the chicken salad is among the best I've ever tasted. However, I have to rate it low because it's overpriced. A large container costs nearly $13 and only makes about four sandwiches. I purchased two large chicken salad containers, one large pimento cheese container, and two cookies, and my total came to $48— which I find outrageous. If you don't mind spending the money, this place is fantastic, but if you're on a budget, you might be better off grabbing some chicken salad from the grocery store. It may not be as good, but it's a more economical choice. I would only return if someone else is covering the bill, which is unfortunate.
I got two kinds of chicken salad and some pimento cheese. The barbecue chicken salad was good but not spectacular. The other chicken salad had onions and I liked it better. The Mento cheese was good also. I got the spicy one because I like spicy. They did offer crackers that I could take with me because I didn't get the chicken salad to take home. The crackers might have been old because they just kept breaking apart and it was very difficult to actually use them to scoop out the chicken salad or the pimento cheese. All in all I would recommend this place if you love chicken salad like I do.
I just enjoyed a fantastic, quick, homemade lunch for under $14 at Chicken Salad Chick! It was my first time there, and I ordered the Old Southern chicken salad sandwich on wheat, along with a side of macaroni and cheese. The meal also included a pickle and a cookie, plus I got a drink. I’m truly impressed! I'm quite particular about my chicken salad, and this one was absolutely perfect! And the watermelon tea? Wow! I’m in love! The picture attached was taken after I devoured half the sandwich.
It has taken me awhile to come here. I've now been here twice in a week. Counter personnel are always welcoming, and helpful. They offer samples of chicken salad so you can decide which you want with your meal. In addition to the chicken salad, their potato soup is tasty with chunks of potato. I also tried the grape salad which was good but very sweet. Try the pick two or three. It gives good variety. Restaurant is clean and well lit. Busy but the line moves quickly. One of my favorite spots for lunch is definitely the Dixie Chick sandwich paired with the broccoli salad on the side. I highly recommend it for a quick meal since the service is fast and there's plenty of parking, making it easy to pop in and out! It's always delicious and satisfies my cravings! My only request is for them to bring back the Pina Colada pie.
