I ordered takeout from this restaurant, and the cashier was incredibly friendly. I chose this place because it's conveniently close to home. Unfortunately, the food was a big letdown. Based on the reviews, I decided to try the pad Thai, but it turned out to be tasteless, and the chicken was tough and overcooked. The crab Rangoon was also surprisingly bland—my favorites are from Mai Le or the lobster Rangoon at Kobe. I also ordered the squid and vegetable tempura, but it was completely lacking in flavor. The food is generally excellent, but I did encounter a problem during my last visit when I found a hair in my meal. It really grossed me out, but I chose not to say anything about it. A month ago, I brought my aunt here, and the waiter reassured her that the roll she wanted was gluten-free due to her severe allergy, but it turned out it wasn’t. She ended up breaking out in a rash and hives. The waiter didn’t seem too concerned—maybe he was just embarrassed, I’m not sure. The manager did offer us a 10% discount on the bill, but honestly, that doesn’t feel like sufficient compensation. I do love the rolls and plan to return, but next time I’ll be sure to double-check my order.
The atmosphere was excellent—small yet cozy and very clean. The service was outstanding. As someone from Japan, I can say the food was fantastic. The nori wrapping my roll was fresh, and the rice used in it was of high quality. The miso soup was also delicious. The tempura was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant!
I had a genuinely delightful experience at this restaurant. The food was exceptional, and the staff were not only friendly but also very attentive. There are some dishes here that are hard to come by at other places. Overall, I would rate the food a perfect 5 out of 5.

It was nice experience here. We ordered California roll, Veg fried rice, Salmon roll. Everything was delicious. I quite dislike green curry because it was watery and ok ok.Lobster roll was nice.Overall is good for me.
Way too expensive for subpar sushi. Their prices are higher than most other sushi restaurants in STL, but they don’t make up for it in quality. Much better options in the area such as Sushi ai
The sushi was fresh, flavorful and inventive. Ama ebi with quail egg was outstanding. Sashimi plater exceeded expectations with a nice tamago for dessert.Food: 5/5

I absolutely love this place! It's incredible. Sushi from anywhere else just doesn't compare to Oishi! And their tempura vegetables are delicious!
