Absolutely terrible customer service—it's not even worth one star. The owner hung up on me when I inquired about why our order had been canceled. Our order was supposed to arrive at 7 PM, but at 7:15 PM, we received a message saying it was running half an hour late and that we could request a partial refund. We made that request, only to find out at 7:40 PM that the entire order had been canceled without any prior notice. This is unacceptable service. The owner was rude, and the overall experience was infuriating. Service: Delivery.

I was in town for a couple of nights and decided to order from China City for delivery since I wasn't familiar with the area. I called to confirm my address, and they were incredibly friendly on the phone. The food arrived within the promised timeframe, and it was hot and delicious! Chinese food can be a bit unpredictable due to the various cooking styles, but this meal reminded me of home and tasted really light and fresh—not greasy or heavy at all. I highly recommend China City!

Ordered for collection in shop.Definitely not the worst chinese I've had. Service was good and around 15mins wait on Saturday night. Egg fried rice was nice and well seasoned. Black bean sauce a bit thin but nicely seasoned, with black beans in. Down side was vegetable spring rolls had a weird musty flavour and couldn't eat them. Rest of Food was good though and enjoyed it. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options not great, vegetables in various sauces, no tofu.

Overall, I'm pleased with this restaurant, but I wanted to mention one issue. Unfortunately, whenever I order different dishes, I've noticed that one of the servings tends to be significantly different from the other. In my last experience, one dish was much larger than the other, making it less enjoyable to eat. This raises concerns about the consistency of the quality. Given this, I might consider trying other restaurants that offer better service. Réservez une table maintenant

I am new to using this service, and I found the meals I ordered to be lovely. The service was excellent as well. However, I was confused about the pricing. Almost everything I ordered was £1.00 more than what was listed on the menu, and then there were additional charges for delivery and baggage. I understand the delivery and baggage fees, but could someone explain the difference in prices?

The lady who took phone orders today, November 7th, really needs to consider a different job. If you can’t read your own menu and are unwilling to assist someone with a health condition regarding their order, then you shouldn’t be working in a restaurant. I would not order from here again. The delivery guy was lovely, although the food looked and tasted as if it had been warmed up from earlier in the day. Noodles were bland, beef mushy and chips were old, cold and hard. sorry guys, no vote from me. Food: 2

Would never order from here again rice way to wet and mushy, more like rice pudding, plus some of my order was missing chilli chicken wings to much flavour Service: Delivery Meal type: Other Price per person: £20–30

Well deserved 5* I've recently moved from Essex and no hate but I can never find any takeaway I like in Newark but this chinese is BANGING! 10/10 on everything Food: 5 Service: 5
