used to love coming here came back to a big disappointment and displeasure . westlake soup had no taste so we kept adding salt, terrible chicken fried rice, other dishes were just ok. Fish fillets had strong fishy smell not fresh . Service has gone terribly bad, one lady gave us a pot of hot water and basically almost slammed the pot on the table. Food took forever, almost an hour wait for basic orders while we saw others who arrived way later than us got their food first. I had a bad feeling right away when the waiter argued where would anyone find fresh calamari's because there are no fresh calamari's anywhere in a restaurant, they're all frozen, despite their menu saying fresh calamari. I recently tried China Village with a buddy. He said it was on one of the Michelin guides so I figured I'd give it a go! We ordered several dishes including the green beans, beef in chili oil, Dan Dan noodles in sesame, and pork shank. The green beans were excellent. Soft and well seasoned with the perfect kick. The pork shank in sauce was also awesome with a generous portion and tasty sauce. IMO the star of the show was the beef in chili oil. There was a super large portion that also contained some cabbage and veg. During my recent Lunar New Year dinner at China Village, I had mixed feelings. While the restaurant boasts a wide selection of dishes, the service fell short of expectations. We encountered an issue with a soup dish that was served without the proper utensils or bowl, despite our request for assistance from the server. This lack of attention to detail was disappointing. Some dishes were tasty, but others were too salty and oily. Plus, if you like spicy food, you might be disappointed because it's not very spicy here. Despite these drawbacks, the extensive menu offers plenty of options for diners. However, be prepared for some dishes to leave you puzzled.

China Village is my favorite szechuan food in the bay and I tried so many szechuan restaurants already as szechuan food is one of my favorite food ! I'm not sure why the review is kinda low, so I need to support my fav restaurant!! The food is delicious and consistent. I've been coming here since 2015. Everyone who I took here, loves the food The must try is 1000 Chili Chicken and Spicy Boiled Fish Fillet , sooo goodddd! But all their other food is good too. Staff is friendly and nice. We got a pretty good takeout meal here. Ordered on DoorDash, pickup was ready early. Cost was $83.99 total including tax/tip for a DoorDash pickup order for 4 entrees enough for 4 adults and 3 toddlers. The portions, favor, freshness of the food was out of this world! Lots of flavor in the ginger beef. The beef was very well good, soft, and easy to eat. The food came out steaming hot and the potions are well enough for 2-3 people. The service was pretty average but the restaurant was decently nice and had lots of space.

This is the best restaurant! Lots of choices 199. Classic Fried Rice is one of the best I have had. 160. Classic Sweet Sour Prawns were delicious. Not too much batter and the sauce was great. 193. Traditional Eggplant with Spicy Garlic Sauce just delicious. This place is a well oiled machine.

Sesame chicken arrived ice cold. Everything else was steaming hot. Seemed like it was maybe from a leftover batch that sat around for a while. Chicken was fatty. Homemade noodles were fantastic. Réservez une table maintenant

Sesame Chicken was tasty! Chow mein was good--I like the texture of the noodles and the portion is huge--tons of leftovers. Added a little chili sauce to mine because it is a milder flavor.
