Back in the day, we used to frequent their other store in Oakland. Cut and pasted from their website: Cholita. In Peru, it 's a term of endearment that means a girl of native or mixed heritage and Linda means pretty or sweet. Quality/Quantity Plantains Good, fried well, moist and tender on the inside. Two Pollo Al pastor Generous quantity, good flavors. Baja Fish Taco Carne Asada Taco Also good flavors and good quantity. Actually, the chicken, fish, and beef all had the exact same flavor... The biggest difference was the breading on the fish. Yuca Fries Fresh out of the fryer, so be careful it is temperature HOT. Atmosphere Fast casual. Counter service. Self service water, self bussing table...

I’ve visited the original Cholita Linda location in Temescal a few times now over the years and really enjoyed their food. This restaurant is another location of theirs in Alameda which was more convenient on my trip so I stopped by. Food wise everything tasted delicious just as I remember. I’ve tried all the tacos over the years but the Baja Fish is my favorite and now just order multiple of them when I visit. The fish is super fresh and pairs nicely with their housemade crema and salsa. Make sure to top it off with a bit of the orange hot sauce. On this visit, the Alameda location service was a bit slow despite there not being too many customers. I’ll probably stick to the Temescal locatio...
I love their fish plate! That's usually the only thing I get when I go there. The other meats are okay, I didn't like the steak bc of the way they season the meat. But the rest of the food is delicious! The drinks (non alcoholic) are good but personally I don't like lots of sugar in my drinks and I know they put lots of sugar. It's a preference, I like natural fruit drinks. But they taste good. The prices are affordable for what they give you esp considering this economy! Totally worth it.
Yesss it's worth the hype!! I've always driven by but never went in. I recently checked it out as a pre-concert meal. Interior is super nice. I got the carne asada and Baja fish tacos. Both were very delicious! The carne asada was soo juicy and meat was soft. The Baja fish had a light batter and was very refreshing. It had a lil bit of coleslaw and sauce, which gave it a nice balance to the fried fish. Service was fast as well. Definitely will be back in the future! Réservez une table maintenant
Wanted to share my recent experience with this business. I went there for to eat lunch and the stuff was nice but a bit edgy. I ordered the steak sandwich which was delicious. Went I asked for sauces they were a bit stingy but I forgive them because if the taste. Also the fact that they serve beers win them some points cause not all the lunch places service alcohol. To sum it up GO TO EAT THERE. So yummy
The best fish Taco place. Yummy prep with good seasoning. The fish salad was the best blend of veg with sea food . French fry crispy. One of the best fish tacos I've ever had. Even the leftovers i saved it was very good cold. It was perfect. The atmosphere inside is really nice. You seat yourself after order your food at the front. It wasn't a bad experience at all. I like their menu. Short simple. Great options. Next time I will try their sandwich.
Cholita Linda is our go-to here in Alameda. Their fish tacos are the best in the area. We lived in Oakland near their Temescal restaurant and liked them so much, we had them cater our wedding. Now we live in Alameda, happily walking distance to this second location. Everything is delicious. Service: Dine in Réservez une table maintenant
