This little gem is on the esplanade of Redcliffe. It has the freshest most amazing sushi I have ever eaten. You can eat straight off the train or order from a variety of dishes off the menu. Their little starter dishes on the menu are something I love. I have tried their karage chicken, salt and pepper squid, octopus balls, spring rolls, and cant remember proper name but its like a cheese and potato croquet. All these dishes range from 3.50 -4.50 and have a really generous serving. My Boy loves the crunchy tuna roll and the staff know to just order that for him now. It is a must try, so delicious. In addition to raw fish, there are also options like chicken and pork available. The price of your meal is determined by the color of the plates your food is served on. After you finish dining, the number of plates of each color is tallied up to calculate your total bill. Overall, we had a fantastic time at this restaurant.
We (husband and self) have visited Chop Chop Sushi several times now and each time it seems to get better. The staff are friendly and helpful and keen to ensure you're having a good experience. We sat near the open window to the kitchen and were fascinated to watch the chef preparing the salmon, carving each piece with such respect and tenderness - amazing. The variety is good and we can recommended the squid and pork especially. The food on the train is colourful and varied. Can't wait to go again!
I have eaten at Chop Chop Sushi several times on Monday nights for their $2.80/plate special and it never disappoints. You can either sit in a booth or at the bench but on a Monday night there are sometimes delays waiting for a vacant spot as it can get busy but it is well worth it
