My husband and I were referred to go try the food out at Chopsticks in Castlegar by a friend of ours. So, since we have never been there before we wanted to find out what they were ranting and raving about. When we arrived at the restaurant, we found it to be full of flies and once we ordered our food and received it, it was served cold and tasted terrible! The service also was terrible. I would never recommend anyone to eat at Chopsticks because not only is their food and service terrible but also they are way too expensive for the amount of food, even though they do serve good proportions but the cost is way too high. We will never go back. Way too overpriced and the food actually made me...
Ate at this restaurant twice while working in Castlegar for a couple of days. First day was for lunch and we ordered the chinese lunch special combo. The portion size was huge and very reasonably priced. Both of us enjoyed it very much and could barely finish it.That evening, I returned and ordered sushi, which was all very delicious. The size of the fish pieces on the Nigiri was acceptable, and the California roll was very nice with with some avocado pieces in the roll.Service was prompt, the staff was friendly and the décor was comfortable. I would definitely return to this restaurant.
Unfortunately this place has gotten so bad. It used to be okay, but the portions have gotten really small and the prices stayed the same. I ordered food for pickup one time and they told me it would be ready in half an hour, went to get it half an hour later and they hadn't even started to make it yet. They said they don't make the food until it is paid for. Wish they would have told me that over the phone so I could have gone and paid for it right away. We will not be returning here because you just don't get what you pay for anymore.
I love coming here for the chicken chow mein, and deep fried prawns. Occasionally I get sushi as well, although the food is great I would appreciate if the service was better. I feel I am being ignored by my server a lot of the time, I see them leaning against the counter talking about their social life so it could be more efficient. Réservez une table maintenant
