I am very pleased with my choice of chopstix I was in the area and opened up my yelp app to find something to eat and found out I was only 5 minutes from chopstix I have been waiting to give them a try. We got there around 430 pm it was not that busy (lucky for us the staff was amazing and the restaurant looked great too. we started with appetizers Crispy Crab wontons 10 out 10 8 Wings let me just say they are very good I ordered them plan with the sauce on the side and the wings are most definitely brine in something because I can taste that nice salty but sweet flavor on them they was nice and juicy no sauce needed well maybe ranch but that's it lol 10 out 10 Then had to get some sushi 1 r...
Chopstix has been skimping more and more on their offerings. Today, I ordered three rolls: the Philly Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, and Black Pearl Roll. All three were crammed into a single plastic container, and there was barely enough wasabi and ginger for just one roll, despite the fact that this was intended for multiple people. The rolls have also shrunk considerably compared to last year and the year before. To top it off, there were no napkins included in the bag, and they don’t accept phone payments. The staff turnover seems to be quite high, with many teenage employees. Sadly, at Chopstix, prices continue to rise while the quality of food, service, and portion sizes declines.
Overall I would rate this a 3.5, but I rounded up. First off, I have had every experience previously with Chopstix through drive thru only. I always enjoyed it as I had friends that live nearby and it's a convenient option. I feel on the last 2 visits the quality of my dinner wasn't as great. The rice could use some work in terms of flavor and same with the teriyaki steak. Granted, it's the only restaurant of its kind in the area unless you drive a bit to Winston, so that works in its favor. But with that being said, I do think some of the options in Winston are better if you're looking for quality and taste over convenience. The service is prompt and the prices are affordable.
Interesting choice for a spot! Basically right next to a gas station. Place was crowded when we walked in which was a good sign. The miso soup was peerrrrrfect. I love a good miso soup. Spicy crab w salad was tasty also, had the perfect kick. Ordered 4 sushi rolls, mixed, cooked and raw. Menu for the rolls was kind of light, they really didn't have much variety. Mainly crab, tempura shrimp and tuna. That was definitely where it was lacking. Sushi rolls were interesting. They were so overloaded with rice, it was almost hard to taste the fish and other things in the rolls. Probably won't return. Wasn't authentic food and pretty bland. Réservez une table maintenant
Chopstix is a beloved spot in Davidson County. They offer the BEST sushi I've ever had. My favorite is the double bogey roll, which has just the right amount of spice and is absolutely delicious. The sushi tastes as fresh as if it were just caught from the ocean. The service is outstanding, and the restaurant has a clean, relaxed atmosphere. While I'm not particularly fond of their hibachi, I've heard from many others who really enjoy it, so I believe it's just a matter of personal preference. I feel that it lacks the authentic flavor found in some nearby hibachi restaurants, and the yum yum sauce doesn't quite appeal to me.
As a new resident to NC, I'm trying to find my go to spots. We got seated immediately here and service was amazing. The loss of a stars was for the actual sushi. With their sauces and ingredients, they all kinda tasted the same. Nothing stuck out to me as being amazing and it was lacking somewhat on the freshness aspect. While it was good, I don't think I would pay $70 for a dinner for two here again.
There 's nothing really wrong with Chopstix as far as food or service. After being a long time customer, I noticed last night that they are now charging approximately 4% non-cash adjustment fee. This practice of passing along their charges to the customer, after already raising food prices, is ridiculous. Without a doubt, their credit transactions are not 4% as charged by their point of sale provider.
We eat at Chopstix occasionally for lunch with a team from my office. Food is always hot and fresh. Service is excellent and the prices are fair. Many options for lunch depending on how hungry you are. Great sushi and sashimi. Their hibachi plates are always on point. We have tried most of their appetizers and they are all very good.
