I visited on a Sunday night and was informed that they close at 9 PM. I arrived at 8:55, which the cashier acknowledged. However, when I went to place my order, she said they only had the small churros with dipping sauce or plain churros available. I thought to myself, “Aren’t you still technically open?” It seemed unreasonable that they couldn't offer a regular churro with dipping sauce, especially since I could see them in the kitchen. What do you call a churro fanatic? Whatever it is just change my name to that. Churro bar why are you so GOOD. I order from here a lot because they truly are a piece of culinary art. The churros are cooked perfectly in front of you. They are crispy but so delicate. The dusting style and ratio they use don't leave you covered in a mess nor have you on a sugar high. Everything is just balanced right. The white chocolate dipping sauce is my favorite. Strawberry and dulce de leche are also delicious. This place is seriously my dessert guilty pleasure.
The combination of churro and ice cream can get too sweet for some people. I personally love it. The cost of the dessert seems to be on the high side considering the ice cream and churro quality is average at best. I guess you are paying for the uniqueness and presentation of the dessert. I would recommend trying it for the gram, but if you aren 't into social media like that, there are other places that could be better alternatives for ice cream shops. Réservez une table maintenant
Best dessert spot to stop at Haven city market to complete your meal! I love how they allow you to customize your own churro but there are also signature ones there that you can opt for or build ideas off of! The best addition is the soft serve ice cream with this its like the best combination. I did a mix of vanilla and chocolate swirl, i mean why not go for the best of both worlds! The next thing I cant wait to try to churro affogato.
The service was friendly, and the churros were delicious. However, there was an overwhelming amount of sweetness for my taste, and the seating options were quite limited. It would have been nice to have a comfortable spot to sit and enjoy the food, as eating messy treats while standing with kids can be quite challenging.
Was quite disappointed. Received my order VIA doordash and my order was not securely sealed. Just folded closed. Per your request Jason, no I will not remove my review. The bag SHOULD HAVE been sealed BEFORE handing it off to the doordash driver. This was an error on Churro Bar's part. Not doordash.
