Absolutely Wonderful! CHEAP food with EXPENSIVE flavor!. We just moved to the rural outskirts of Roanoke from Louisville, KY. With moving from such an eclectic area with some of the top rising chefs in the US, I was concerned that I would not find very many restaurants to satisfy my foodie taste buds. I stand corrected. I have found my new favorite restaurant. Do not judge by the exterior. This man and his family run this location. He moved from LA just to purchase this restaurant, and also has a location downtown (that I am excited to try, as they offer a lunch buffet allowing opportunities to taste other authentic items on the menu). I tried the grounded chicken pillow ka paow over rice, thai hot. it was mediocre, but in a kind of mall food course to satisfy when they know what I mean. the seasoning level was lower than I expected for the ordering thai hot it seems that the upper limit for seasoning here is not so big the taste is simple and unbalanced. it is dominated by the sweetness and saltiness of fish sauce and the sicilies of chilis. the ground chicken was a bit dry and bland. there is a fair amount of liquid in the bottom of the plate / container, which is tasteful, but it is so thin that it does not adhere to the meat.
Best Thai EVER. This is without a doubt one of the best Thai restaurants I've had the pleasure to enjoy. The menu selection is huge, the food is always fresh and served quickly and the Thai coffee is fantastic. Try the Kai Krop Chicken, lightly deep fried chicken breast with Thai chilies, red green peppers, lime leaves and loaded with Basil that's deep fried with the chicken. A nice side dish is the papaya salad that's actually great as an appetizer. If you're looking for Thai food in Roanoke, Va look no further. This is the place to be!
Amazing food, incredible people who run it. This place is quite amazing. The food is wonderful, and the people are so lovely. This place has become a fast favorite for my son and myself and we average coming once a week. The food is fresh and the people are a delight. I like everything I have ever tried here, but my favorite is the cashew chicken. They will adjust the heat to your taste and they even have a bar with extra sauces and spices to add to your dishes. Fresh, Tasty, Reasonable Pricing. I'm loathe to gush too much; it may lead to crowded mealtimes. But, I can't be there every day, so I'll take a chance and tell the truth. I have never had fresher food! The menu is so broad that I've taken to keeping a list of what I've tried so far. It will take a while to try everything!
