The Carolina Dog was topped with the freshest ingredients I've ever had in a restaurant. Everything was grilled to perfection on a blazing hot flat top, and I even caught sight of flames occasionally. The hot dogs and burgers had just the right amount of char, enhancing the flavors, and it was all homemade with exceptional quality. My personal favorite was the homemade dogs, especially the corn dogs and their batter. The cheese fries were also a highlight for me; they were a bit on the soggy side, which I actually enjoyed. Really good and unusual place in Richmond on Cary street. Hot dogs are the king here along with beers cocktails. It's also open late on weekends past midnight but it's not exactly a bar. If you been in NY it's exactly same hole in the wall experience with warm friendly service. Location nextdoor to Courtyard Marriott, same street. Pricewise a platter with 2 cocktails is about $30 including tips. No dedicated parking. Seating is limited you may need to wait for a table. Suggestions hot dog platter with Italian sausage upgrade and sides as french fries and onion rings (could go with potato totes). Skip coleslaw. Pair with pitcher or or simple gin tonic.

This is a fantastic casual restaurant with a relaxed vibe, featuring numerous TVs playing sports. The bar is nice, and all menu items, including drinks, are reasonably priced. We were taken care of by an amazing bartender named Rochelle, who provided excellent service. The food was delicious, with highlights including the black bean burger I had and the hot dog my friend enjoyed. We will definitely be returning. If you're looking for a great spot with tasty food and a laid-back atmosphere to relax or catch a game, this place is a great option!

I absolutely love City Dogs! Every visit for a meal is a fantastic experience. The service is exceptional, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I first discovered City Dogs in 2015 and have been a regular ever since. I’ve been to both of their locations in Richmond, and I can say that both are wonderful. I can honestly say this is the best hot dog I've ever had at Burger Fuge! It's even better than those in New York, and it's massive. Your hospitality is impressive, and everything is top-notch. The freshly made steamed rolls and the Vienna hot dogs are delicious with every bite, plus there's an amazing selection of beers. City Dogs is unbeatable! Great job, everyone—keep up the fantastic work. I'll definitely be back!

It was an interesting experience here in Downtown Richmond where most things are closed rather early but this spot was still open as it offers regular fare in hot dogs, hamburgers and sandwiches. They have take out and you could dine in if you choose. The food was good, the Cole slaw was not to be desired but the French fries were on point. Delicious hot dogs! We really enjoyed the variety of combinations available, and if we’d had more room, we would have tried them all! The corn dogs were tasty as well. It would have been helpful to know that they were topped with cheese, as one of us cannot eat cheese. However, we managed to remove most of it, and they still tasted wonderful. Overall, we liked everything we had!

I'm really happy we visited! The Richmond dogs and onion rings were fantastic! Others in our group had a Boston Dog, cheeseburgers, and cheese tots, and everything was delicious. Large selection of dogs! Very good prices. Happy Hour 4-7 pm every day with a variety when you drink specialties. Some of the best pommes we had!
