"I was up for a work visit in the area, and my coworker and I decided to have lunch there. Very good food. Presentation was excellent. I was really impressed with the decoration and style of the place, definitely top-notch. We met the owner and he was such a delightful person to meet and talk to.I cannot recommend it enough; everything is perfect."

However, tonight, I stopped by for a steak that I was really looking forward to, but unfortunately, I was quite disappointed. The steak I received was nowhere near what you would expect from a good steakhouse. The ribeye was bland and tough, significantly lacking in flavor. Instead of the high-end steak experience I had anticipated, I would compare it more to a $20 steak you might find at an Italian restaurant. The wings I ordered were mediocre at best; I wouldn’t bother getting them again. I has a person who loves steak really won't be going to this place again. It's way overpriced. I think I paid $20 per drink for a pineapple and tequila Casamigos at that which is lower quality. We got the grilled octopus that was still a little bit slimy, I've definitely had a better way better in other places. For dinner I had the Hangar Steak and my mother had the fillet mignon 10 ounce now if you liked smoked meat, you may really appreciate it but I am not a huge fan although the meat was cooked properly medium rare to medium, I asked for a side of garlic butter, which was still frozen. What I hoped to be a nice night out with my wife turned into something a little different. We combined ordered a NY Strip medium, and a Ribeye medium rare... The strip steak came out rare and the ribeye came out perfect. I proceeded to eat the ribeye steak, however my wife didn't enjoy her undercook over chard steak so we called the manager over and showed him that the strip steak was not to our expectations. At that point, we sent it back to be cooked a little more. The steak then, came back very chard (much more than the original over chard) on the outside and still rare on the inside. We asked for the manager to come over, and he apologized and agreed to prepare a second steak for my wife...

What a great dinner and overall experience! Let me start off by saying I do not normally leave reviews but I feel the experience we had warrants it. My wife and I are foodie's, we've tried all the local morris county steakhouses, and CJ's is now our new favorite. First and foremost the service was fantastic! Our waiter, Fabian was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and just overall on point! Service is something that I feel has taken a hit in our post covid world, but not here. I went to CJ for the first time this time last year. Me and my Girlfriend went for our Anniversary .Her steak came out perfect ,while mine was still moooing, I asked for medium well,i sent it back and it came back burnt.I didn 't want to return to this place again.Fast forward to this year,my Girlfriend talked me into trying it again.I made a reservation for 6pm.....we got there at 5:45pm. The place was closed,we checked the website and it said they should be open for lunch and dinner. No sign on the door explaining why they are closed.I call their number on the website and got a recording saying no one is available to take your call and hung up on me. If I want a good steak dinner, needless to say I will NOT be coming back here any time. For appetizers, we ordered the crab cake and grilled Cesar salad. Both were sub par. For being jumbo lump crab there were no lumps. It was all grounded together and for $22 it was no bigger than 3 bites and half the size of my palm. For an entree, we split the veal porterhouse and the herb potato wedges. The veal was charred on the outside and raw on the inside. The bordelaise sauce tasted like mud. The wedges were golden in some parts and raw in others. Not once did the waitress come over to ask us if we needed anything (salt, pepper, ketchup) or refill our drinks. Never again!

The staff was excellent—friendly and engaging. The location was convenient and the ambiance was lovely. The drinks were impressive as well. However, I'm not sure I would classify this as a steakhouse, given that there are only four options for steak on the menu. I was surprised they didn’t offer a bone-in steak; how is that even possible? The quality of the steak didn’t quite meet my expectations, though it wasn't bad. Prices are on the higher side, but aren’t they all these days? I’m glad I gave it a try, but I likely won’t be returning.

When we first walked in there was a bug climbing the wall next to the host stand. Nice small place but the food was ok. I ordered a ribeye and it was the worst ribeye I have had. Barely even marbled so might have even served me the wrong cut or it was just a bad ribeye. The entire steak was burnt and left a terrible after taste. Their special steak sauce tasted like they added a fee spices to Heinz ketchup. Caramelized Brussels sprouts are good. Definitely spend your money elsewhere if you want steak but otherwise it wasn't terrible. Réservez une table maintenant

Wow! The food, service, ambiance, and everything else were absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed a wide variety of appetizers, steaks, and desserts, and also ordered some wines from the menu. Just go there! My steak was one of the best New York strips I've had in a long time. The short ribs and duck were both outstanding as well. Let's not forget about Donald, who really made the experience special. It was a wonderful evening in a great setting—keep up the excellent work!
