Class 302 Cafe Downey

Since they closed down the one in Rowland Heights, I have been looking for similar places that serve my fave shaved ice.After a long drive from Long Beach, I discovered that I would be passing by this place on my way back to my home, so I gave it a try. I've never been to this branch before.The system they have is different where customers can just have this self serve boba drinks and toppings they desire. I came here for their food, so I didn't have any expectations on their drinks at all.It was so sad that they stop serving their signature shaved ice. Although their food is comforting, but yea I still miss my shaved ice.The cashier was nice because I was taking my time deciding.The parking was super easy when I came, it's located inside Downey Plaza where they have five guys and 7leaves.

Well, the ramen seems to be the same higher quality instant stuff I ate in college, and was topped with the same oil that was used to cook my friend's chicken. The people next to us were talking about how they were not happy with their food the last time either. I was given a refund, and people seem to really like the boba. I'd just avoid the food.

The mix your own drink concept is interesting but they do not offer free refills. Cost for a medium drink cup is $5.20 which is higher than all of the boba places I have been to. I had their house milk tea and it was okay. I like my milk tea strong but theirs is sweet. We had the Taiwanese beef noodles and chicken rice.

Staff could be better but overall the food is awesome. The horchata ice cream is bomb and I love the customizable drinks. Also the shaved ice could use more condensed milk but otherwise I dig the way it feels in your mouth.

this place is really cool. really love their food and fight. good service and friendly staff and appreciate the cleanliness of the place really
